I'm a 20-year old student of dentistry. English language is my avocation of sorts.
The best way to enhance your writing skills is probably to write A LOT. Therefore I extend my invitation to all advanced non-native/native english speakers, which goes as follows: Does anyone want to write essays, stories, convert thoughts into text and so forth?
Of course, everybody's most welcome. I think only of somebodies who take it seriously and keep their written work at a decent length. The thing is, one, at a lower level of English, may find it a bit difficult, arduous, tedious (you name it) to wade through the text full of new expressions & vocabulary. That's why I reffer chiefly to those whose backlog of experience in the field enables fluent conversation and ability to infer from what other writers put on paper.
As for me, I didn't find any tempting websites for those who wish to exercise their writing. At any rate, get back to me if you feel like doing as stated above. We can always exchange our e-mail addresses and apply ourselves to extensive writing.

I find your project very interesting. But I think that we should get a native speaker to correct our mistakes. In my personal case,I only learn when my work is checked by someone who knows more that I do. Anyway, I wanna "join" the club. I also think that the best way to learn a language is using it for real, meaningful communication. And your proyect aims at that.

I have some doubts:
What do we have to write about?
Do we have to use lots of new words when writing?

looking forward to start writing....

Bye!!!

Lighthouses

They are buildings made of wood, brick, stone with a light on top to warn passing ships about dangers, such as, rocks, low water levels...They are recognized as signs of safety. Since lighthouses was built, they have saved many ships and prevented many shipwrecks. One of among them is Cape Hatteras lighthouse in Carolina, US. It is built in 1870 and considered as a symbol of lighthouse services of US. It is the tallest brick one of US. In 1999, it is moved 900 meters inland from the ocean to ensure safety...

The best way to improve your writing is for you to read a lot. Read magazines, novels, Newspapers articles, textbooks, and lot more. In fact, be a reading freak.
In addition, learn how to interact with people of different class, and fields. learn how to associate freely. This will go a long way in helping your writing.
