Hi teachers,

Which of the following sentences is correct?

1) A bat can be brown and black in colour.

2) A bat can be brown or black in colour.

If both the sentences are correct, do they carry the same meaning?

Thank you very much in advance.

The meaning is different.
1) A bat can be brown and black in colour. (It has both colours).

2) A bat can be brown or black in colour. (It has only one of the colours).
