A. He smokes heavily.
This means that he smokes frequently. Your other option "The smoker is a heavy" does not make sense. You can, however, say "He is a heavy smoker" which will also mean that he smokes a lot. B. He spoke to us honestly. While, if you want to be very technical, the first option is not wrong, no one would ever say that unless they were either trying to fit into some obscure and stringent rhyme scheme in a poem or they were Yoda. Essentially it would just sound funny if you were to write or say "Honestly he spoke to us." |
